Long description
When selecting a drive for heavy-duty operation, it is worth starting with the required load, speed and electrical infrastructure. The 4LC-355M1-6 model with an output of 160 kW and a supply of 400/690 V operates in the speed range of 900-1000 rpm, so it fits well into modernisations where high operating efficiency and stable torque are both required. In practice, IE4 efficiency helps reduce energy losses by approximately 15 % to 20 % compared with IE3 class, which is particularly important in continuous operation and at higher annual utilisation.
VYBO Electric develops solutions with an emphasis on technical advice, reliability and long-term operation in production conditions with high load. This three-phase motor is suitable where the combination of low operating losses, robust mechanical construction and easy integration into existing switchboards is decisive.
Efficient operation with low energy consumption
The motor is designed for operation in which electrical efficiency has a direct impact on costs. An efficiency of 96.2 % together with a power factor of 0.86 supports economical operation under long-term load and reduces thermal stress around the drive. Noise level of 85 dB(A) remains within the range that is common for industrial deployment, while the construction is prepared for stable operation in demanding duty.
The starting ratio Tst/Tn 1.6, pull-out ratio Tmax/Tn 2 and starting current Ist/In 8 provide a technical picture of the motor’s behaviour during starting and in transient states. For process units with higher inertia, it is important that the rotor has an inertia of 10.8 kg*m², which supports predictable integration into the drive without unnecessary fluctuations.
Construction that supports a long service interval
The IEC frame 355 mm and all-cast iron construction give the motor a solid foundation for installation in production lines, pumping technology and drives where resistance to vibration is required. The shipping weight of 1502 kg confirms the robust construction, which is suitable for heavier industrial tasks and for environments with higher mechanical stress.
The 2-M63X1.5 cable glands make connection easier when sizing the supply, and the DE 6322-C3 and NDE 6322-C3 bearings support precise rotor mounting. The PTC winding protection accessory increases temperature monitoring of the windings during long-term load and helps limit the risk of overheating.
Operation in the 900-1000 rpm range for industrial drives
This speed class is suitable for drives where smooth power delivery is needed without unnecessarily high speed. Thanks to the rated speed of 990 rpm, the motor is suitable for applications where a balanced ratio between torque and energy demand is important. Super premium efficiency is particularly beneficial in operations with long production cycles.
Technical application in production and process units
- Pumps benefit from stable operation when conveying liquids in continuous operation.
- Fans benefit from a balanced ratio of output and speed when controlling air flow.
- Compressors use robust mounting for reliable operation at higher load.
- Mixers gain consistent torque transmission in process production.
- Crushers and granulators benefit from resistance to shock loading during material processing.
- Conveyor lines use stable operation during long-term material transfer.
- Process units with low-voltage supply appreciate the version for 400/690 V during drive modernisation.
From a technical point of view, the motor offers a combination of high efficiency, robust cast iron construction, C3 bearings and winding thermal protection, which is a suitable combination for both modernisation and replacement of drives in manufacturing plants. If you need to verify compatibility with a specific device, check the motor’s suitability for your application and use VYBO Electric technical advice when designing the correct deployment.
4LC-355M1-6 with a power output of 160 kW, voltage 400/690 V and rated speed of 990 rpm is designed for demanding drives with an emphasis on stability. The IEC frame 355 mm and the robust cast-iron construction help damp vibrations and increase resistance to corrosion in aggressive environments. VYBO Electric builds on its own research and development and is among the largest manufacturers in its industry in Central Europe. Long description
