Long description
Compared with an IE2 or IE3 solution, the 4LC-355M2-4 with an output of 250 kW delivers higher operating efficiency and lower energy losses, which is important in continuous duty. For the speed class in the range of 1400-1500 rpm, this IE4 electric motor is designed to reliably support modernisations in plants where stable operation, efficient windings and the use of advanced materials in the construction are decisive. In practice, it fits well into drives for light and heavy industry, as well as into universal industrial applications with a requirement for long service life and predictable maintenance.
Higher efficiency in low-voltage operation
The motor operates at 400 V in delta connection with a rated current of 424 A and at 690 V in star connection with a rated current of 246 A. Rated speed of 1490 rpm, power factor of 0.9 and efficiency of 96.7 % create a solid basis for economical operation of pumps, compressors, conveyors and mixing lines. Noise level of 92 dB(A) corresponds to a robust industrial design and, with proper process design, allows the motor to be deployed where long-term load and stable performance are expected.
Design that handles vibrations and aggressive environments
The centre height of 355 mm and the all-cast-iron housing support the strength of the assembly when installed into technological units where shocks and vibrations are transmitted. The heavy cast-iron construction helps maintain mounting accuracy and at the same time increases the surface resistance in environments with higher dust levels or corrosive exposure. The rotor inertia of 7.4 kg*m² is important for start-up design because it helps engineers estimate the drive behaviour more accurately during load changes and when coordinating with a converter or direct-on-line start.
Starting and torque parameters for demanding machines
The starting torque ratio Tst/Tn of 1.8 and the breakdown torque ratio Tmax/Tn of 2.2 give technical teams a clear framework for selecting a suitable load. The starting current ratio Ist/In of 8.5 must be taken into account especially when sizing switchboards and protection in plants with limited grid reserve. The 2-M63X1.5 cable glands make it easier to bring the cables in robustly, and the DE 6322-C3 and NDE 6322-C3 bearings are selected with long-term operational stability in mind. The 3 PTC thermistors also helps with temperature monitoring of the winding.
