Long description
Compared with IE2 and IE3 solutions, this IE4 motor delivers noticeably lower losses, so in long-term operation it can reduce energy consumption by approximately 15 % to 20 % depending on the load and operating mode. The 4LC-250M-4 model with an output of 55 kW operates in the speed range of 1400-1500 rpm, which is suitable for pumps, fans and compressors requiring smooth and reliable operation. It is a three-phase motor designed for low-voltage networks where high efficiency, a good power factor and stable operating characteristics are required.
Energy savings in long daily operation
An efficiency of 95.7 % and a power factor of 0.86 reduce network loading and operating costs, especially where the motor runs for long hours under constant or variable load. For drives with a high annual number of starts and operating hours, the difference between IE3 and IE4 results in lower losses, less heating and better overall economy. The rated speed of 1485 rpm also supports use in applications where a balanced ratio between output, torque and flow control is important.
Robust construction for industrial loads
The all-cast-iron design with a frame size of 250 mm increases the motor’s durability in operations with higher vibration and more demanding environments. The starting torque ratio Tst/Tn of 2 and the breakdown torque ratio Tmax/Tn of 2.3 provide reserve during starting and short-term overload. The starting current ratio Ist/In of 9 must be taken into account when designing protection and switching devices, especially in larger systems with limited power reserve.
