Choosing the right 1500 kW drive solution

For mining conveyors, mine ventilation and related heavy-duty systems, the key decision points are voltage, pole count, cooling and monitoring. The H27R-HD-Modular series addresses this with a 1500 kW medium and high voltage electric motor platform in 6000 V and 10 000 V versions, with 3300 V and 11 000 V available on request.

Variant choice by speed and configuration

Users can select a specific motor variant by pole count and fixed nominal speed group: 2POL approx. 2900-3000 rpm, 4POL approx. 1400-1500 rpm, 6POL approx. 900-1000 rpm, 8POL approx. 700-750 rpm, 10POL approx. 550-600 rpm and 12POL approx. 450-500 rpm. This makes it easier to match the H27R 1500 kW electric motor to conveyors, fans, compressors, mills, ventilation systems and other industrial drive duties.

Construction and operating features

The asynchronous design uses a welded steel frame, IP55 enclosure and IC611 air-to-air cooling, with IC616 or IC666 available on request. The unit is built for S1 continuous operation, with insulation class F, temperature rise class B, anti-friction bearings and options for grease or oil lubrication. Monitoring can include PT100 sensors for stator and bearings, 3 PTC thermistors and a 230 V space heater. It is also suitable for use with a frequency converter when correctly configured for the application.
