Choosing the right 355 kW drive solution

When specifying a 355 kW medium and high voltage electric motor for marine and offshore auxiliary drives, the key factors are voltage, pole count, cooling and the operating profile. The H27R-HD-Modular series is built around these decision points, giving engineers a structured way to select a motor variant that matches the application rather than forcing a fixed configuration.

For this power rating, the range includes 6000 V and 10 000 V versions, with 3300 V and 11 000 V available on request. Pole versions from 2POL to 12POL provide fixed nominal speed groups, so the motor can be aligned to the duty point of pumps, fans, compressors, ventilation systems, conveyors or other heavy industrial machinery used on marine and offshore installations.

What the H27R modular design adds

The series combines a welded steel frame, IP55 enclosure and IC611 air-to-air cooling as standard, with IC616 or IC666 available on request. It is a three-phase electric motor with insulation class F, temperature rise class B and S1 continuous duty, supporting dependable service in demanding industrial environments. Anti-friction bearings are grease or oil lubricated depending on the final configuration, while PT100 sensors, 3 PTC thermistors and a 230 V space heater support monitoring and protection.
