The H27R-HD-Modular range brings a practical choice of configurations to the 800 kW medium and high voltage electric motor segment. For oil and gas installations, that means users can select a suitable variant by voltage, pole count and nominal speed rather than adapting the process around one fixed design. The range covers 6000 V and 10 000 V networks, with 3300 V and 11 000 V available on request.

Selecting the right variant for the application

For compressor drives, pump sets and ventilation systems, the pole version should match the required operating speed. Fixed nominal speed groups are available as 2POL approx. 2900-3000 rpm, 4POL approx. 1400-1500 rpm, 6POL approx. 900-1000 rpm, 8POL approx. 700-750 rpm, 10POL approx. 550-600 rpm and 12POL approx. 450-500 rpm. These are set by the chosen pole count, so the motor can be aligned more precisely with the process duty.

The H27R 800 kW electric motor is built as a three-phase electric motor with a welded steel frame, IP55 enclosure and IC611 air-to-air cooling. Insulation class F, temperature rise class B and S1 continuous duty support long-running industrial service, while PT100 sensors, 3 PTC thermistors and a 230 V space heater assist monitoring and protection. When configured for the application, the motor is also suitable for use with a frequency converter.

Where it fits in oil and gas installations

Typical uses include process pumps, gas compressors, crude oil transfer pumps, circulating water pumps and larger auxiliary fans.
