Long description
A conventional drive in this power class often involves a compromise between starting performance, efficiency, and service reserve. The H17RL 450X1-2 was designed precisely for situations where the drive is expected to deliver performance for demanding technologies and where the range 2900-3000 rpm must remain stable even under longer-term load. In practice, this is appreciated by plants that need a reliable basis for continuous production, precise dosing, or driving technological units with high dynamics.
The construction is based on a robust cast-iron frame, which helps keep motor operation smooth even in service with greater mechanical stress. The 450 mm frame size provides space for installation into industrial assemblies where limited service space and a long-term operating reserve are taken into account. These LV electric motors are also developed and manufactured specifically for European industry, especially for Western Europe, which is important in modernisations that must respect local practices in power supply and maintenance.
In this version, it is a three-phase 400/690 V motor, which can naturally be used in operations with various mains supplies and with a requirement for compatibility with variable frequency drives as well as direct start. The motor can be matched to a 380 V, 440 V, 500 V, 690 V, or 720 V supply, which simplifies the replacement of older units without unnecessary interventions in the entire energy infrastructure. For technology suppliers, it is important that the low-voltage asynchronous electric motor from this range can also be used sensibly where precise coordination of the drive with the other parts of the line is decisive.
The modern design created using Hi-TECH technologies supports not only a compact arrangement, but also better repeatability of production in series projects. Thanks to the in-house development of VYBO Electric, the solution is prepared as an electric motor for high-speed applications, where emphasis is placed on starting dynamics as well as long-term operational reliability. Standard equipment includes a steel cooling cover, reinforced bearings with steel shielding, high-temperature lubricant in the bearings, a metal terminal box, and reinforced bearing shields, so maintenance can be planned with a lower risk of unexpected downtime.
Range 2900-3000 rpm in drives with 800 kW for production and technology
The rated output of 800 kW and rated speed of 2985 rpm give this solution a character suited to energy-intensive processes, where the balanced torque of 2559 Nm is important. During start-up, the starting torque ratio of 110% helps, while the breakdown torque ratio of 200% provides reserve during sudden load changes. The rated current delta 400 V 1354 A and rated current star 690 V 785 A are parameters that designers will encounter when planning the power supply, switchboard, and protection devices.
In demanding industrial operations, it is also important how the motor behaves during repeated starts. The starting current ratio of 750% signals the need for precisely designed protection and control, especially in heavy-duty applications where the load at the instant of start-up is significant. The rated efficiency of 96.1% and power factor of 0.89 help keep operating costs under control, which is important for plants with continuous operation at every kilowatt hour.
Technical solution for LV electric motors in line modernisation
Insulation class F and temperature rise B create a combination that supports long-term reliability under standard industrial load. The copper strip rotor cage improves both electrical and mechanical behaviour during start-up and during the transfer of high torque to the driven technology. A weight of 5100 kg, external starting inertia of 261 kg.m2, and a moment of inertia GD2 of 24,000 kg.m2 are values that have direct significance when designing the foundation, coupling, and control of the entire assembly.
DE bearing 6221C3 and NDE bearing 6221C3, together with available accessories such as thermal protection with 6x PT100 in the winding, PT100 in the DE and NDE bearing, anti-condensation heating, and 3x PTC, help reduce the risk of unplanned downtime. This is especially valuable in operations that are replacing a drive with a more reliable variant without complicated interventions in the technology. Sales worldwide also confirm that this construction is used in different operating standards and in different industrial conditions.
13 industrial applications where 800 kW delivers operational reliability
This electric motor is suitable for driving centrifugal pumps in chemical production, process fans in energy engineering, compressors in pressure technology, mixers in food production lines, extruders in plastics processing, rolling stands in metallurgy, crushers in recycling technologies, belt conveyors in the mining industry, mills in cement plants, drum dryers, turbine auxiliary drives, pumping stations in water treatment plants, and technological aggregates in the paper industry. In each of these cases, it is important for the motor to behave predictably, have reserve under load, and be able to integrate into the existing low-voltage infrastructure.
Practical recommendation for selecting a reliable H17RL Compact PRO drive
When selecting a drive for production technology, we recommend monitoring not only output and speed, but also the method of power supply, the load profile, available space, and service requirements. The H17RL 450X1-2 is suitable where long-term stability, easier integration into industrial switchboards, and reliability during repeated operating cycles are decisive. If you are dealing with modernisation or replacement of an older drive, send us an enquiry and we will prepare a proposal according to your supply network, process, and operating mode.
H17RL 450X1-2 400/690 V brings 800 kW for operations where the rotary drive is to work stably in the range of 2900-3000 rpm. The robust design in frame size 450 mm supports precise integration into lines intended for European industry. VYBO Electric supplies solutions with sales to the whole world. Long description
